Hazel photographed her first flowering dogwood trees in 2011 as she was leaving town for a ski trip because she knew they wouldn't be blooming when she returned. Her image titled "Slow Dance" from this shoot was selected for the prestigious Slow Exposures show in 2011. Her dogwood photograph titled Fragile is a best seller.
This year, in 2012, her goal was to catalog the opening and bloom of the trees. Above is a collection of dogwood images set to Old Crow Medicine Show's "Wagon Wheel."
